Your NHS Pension Choice

What is the statement pension calculator?

The statement pension calculator is a web-based modelling tool to enable members of the NHS Pension Scheme, who have received a personalised comparison statement, to see how the design of the scheme's two sections (i.e. the 1995 and 2008 sections) affects the amounts of benefits that can be paid at retirement

This calculator uses information from the ‘Your personal benefits comparisons’ part of the statement you have received. Using the information in this part of the statement allows you to look at your future retirement intentions or expectations.

Firstly enter the information from the ‘Your personal benefits comparisons’ part of your statement and check that the answers in the calculator are similar to those in your statement. The results on the calculator will be approximate results and may not match your statement exactly.

You can now vary various aspects to see the effect this has on your benefits, like retiring two years earlier or later, reducing your hours or an increase to your pay before retirement.
