Security Printing and Systems Limited (3MSPSL)
Following
a competitive tender, 3M Security Printing & Systems Limited
(3MSPSL) took over responsibility for the supply of secure
and non-secure NHS forms on 31/03/08. This contract was previously
fulfilled by RR Donnelly (formerly known as Astron)
The main
points to note about the new service from 3MSPSL are as follows:-
- all
prescription product codes used by customers to order forms
remain the same.
- trusts
can have products delivered to more than 1 delivery point.
- nurse
forms can be ordered and printed on any working day of the
week.
To
facilitate this new service, 3MSPSL have introduced a Web ordering
service for NHS and non-NHS organisations in both England and
Wales. Each Trust and Agency has been invited to register their
ordering details via their Super User (User Contact details,
Invoice and Delivery addresses) and was provided with login
and password details to access their account together with a
Training Pack following successful registration.
Each PCT/Trust
is responsible for ordering its own prescription pads –
3MSPSL will print personalised prescription pads up to 42
days prior to the prescriber joining the practice/PCT/Trust.
The process of placing an order to receiving delivery should
normally take 6 working days provided that that the prescriber
details are held on the PPD and 3MSPSL databases.

however on occasion it may be necessary for a call to be made.
