PPD are striving towards no longer receiving product changes in the form of paper submissions. Pharmaceutical manufacturers and suppliers need an accurate, fast, free and reliable method of transmitting changes to products and pricing to the PPD. This is vital for your company if you are to ensure that the product details and pricing of your product range is accurately reflected on the NHS Dictionary of Medicines and Devices (dm+d).

In partnership, the PPD and Datapharm Communications Ltd have developed the In-Demand system and made it available to all drug manufacturers and suppliers. In-Demand is a web based system that will provide your organisation with the means to electronically transmit changes to your product range and pricing to the PPD. The PPD will use the information submitted via In-Demand to maintain your company's product information on the dm+d.

In-Demand makes it easier for you to ensure your dm+d entries are accurate and timely which will in turn allow new information to be delivered more rapidly into clinical systems and available for prescribing at the very earliest opportunity.

In-Demand is Free, Fast, Accurate and Paperless ensuring that at the click of a button changes to your product range are transmitted to the PPD for update on the NHS dm+d.

In-Demand makes savings on the production and postage of product information. Reducing paper consumption also helps to protect the environment; In-Demand provides an opportunity for your company to demonstrate their awareness of environmental responsibilities as well as provide a timely method for updating your product ranges. In-Demand is an electronic process that collates and tracks your changes, keeping you in control of your data.

Datapharm Communications Ltd will provide you with the necessary documents to sign up and get started. Upon receipt of a signed agreement Datapharm will issue you with a username and password enabling your company to use In-Demand and submit changes to your products and their prices electronically.
