In Report Templates you will notice some new options. The default is to extract and present the information online with ePACT.net. The online functionality is unchanged.

If you click on either of the Offline Requesting options - the green border highlights the Offline Requesting Box and further choices become available. Currently for Offline Requests only a standard set of fields are available. The options to add different fields, set record limits, the Patient Denominator and Parent are disabled.

Choose the Period, Organisation and BNF Summary levels you require and enter a name for your request.

The Summary levels when requesting offline will not allow Accumulated options; the period summary level will currently only allow months.

Notice also that the Summary Level options now respond to the levels selected in the Data Selector - whether you are in Online or Offline mode. The Summary Level options now respond to tags as well.

Your ePACT.net client will detect if your browser is capable of using the new ePACT Downloader and will enable or disable some offline options as appropriate. Notice in the examples above the Run Offline for Data Export check box is disabled. If your Internet Explorer Browser does not have the JAVA 1.4 plugin installed, the option to run requests offline for data download is not available.

Full instructions and support for the installation of Sun Microsystems Java 1.4 will be issued when appropriate.

In the example below the ePACT.net is running in Internet Explorer with Java 1.4 installed and enabled. The option to run Offline for Data Export is enabled.

Viewing and Downloading your information.

Reports can be viewed through the Electronic Reporting Information Centre (ERIC). Documentation about ERIC can be found elsewhere.

To collect your offline data export files you will need to logon to a new ePACT service - the Downloader. You will be able to use your current ePACT and Prescribing Toolkit user ids.

In the Available for Download area of the screen the name and number of your requests are shown. In general you can choose to download one at a time or all the files. There will be an option to download overnight or out of office hours. If you no longer require any files you can delete them

The journal area is mostly to help the support staff if you experience any problems.

You can use this screen to change your password for ePACT.net and Prescribing Toolkit.
