MASTER FILE TECHNICAL OFFICER

Grade 3, £11,037 - £12,815 pro rata
Location: Scottish Life House, Jesmond, Newcastle Upon Tyne

An opportunity has arisen within the Prescriber Information Department of the Prescription Pricing Authority for a Master File Technical Officer. You will be responsible for accurately inputting and processing data in order to maintain the integrity of the Master Files relating to prescription pricing and payments processing. This will involve liasing with customers over the telephone, updating files, creating budget records, validating patient lists and undertaking audit checks.

Educated to a minimum of GCSE standard or equivalent at Grade C or above in Maths and English, you should bring a minimum of two years' experience working in a busy office environment, processing large amounts of complex data. Some experience of working in a customer care environment would be an advantage. With the ability to work to tight deadlines as part of a dedicated team, you must also be numerate, accurate and flexible with strong communication and PC skills, particularly in the use of MS Word and Excel. Knowledge of the PPA and/or NHS is desirable.
