I am writing to advise you that following a search of our paper and electronic records, I have established that the information you requested is not held by the Authority. As part of my duty to advise and assist, may I draw your attention to the fact that the Authority does not record patient details on our computer systems as these are not required as part of the payment process. The database contains information on: - What has been prescribed by a Prescriber - What has been dispensed by the Pharmacist - Where the item was dispensed - Which month of the year the prescription was received by the PPA This information is used to determine what should be paid to a contractor (e.g. the pharmacist) for dispensing an item against a prescription order; this does not necessarily identify the actual drug dispensed. In addition, this information is normally held in accordance with the month in which it was dispensed but this is not always the case.
