RESPECTED DIR/MADAM, HERE IS ??????, SURRENTLY DOING THE DISPENSING ASSISTANT COURCE. MY STUDENT NO. IS ?????? I WANT TO KNOW ABOUT PRICING FOR GLUCOSAMINE TABLETS & SOME MORE INF. HOW MUCH WE ARE PAID FOR GLUCOSMINE TAB 500MG OTC PACK OF 90 AND 30 ACCORDING TO DRUG TARIFF. IF WE DISPENSE THE GLUCOSAMINE TAB OF BR PHARM THEN HOW MUCH WE R PAID FOR THAT AS WELL. (2) IF THE CUSTOMER RERQUESTS FOR SULPHER POWDER , CAN WE SALE IT OR NOT? (3)IFTHE DOCTOR HAS PRESCRIBE TWO MEDICINES AND ONE OFTHEM IS PHOLCODINE LINCTUS STRONG AND IF HE IS PAYING FOR THAT PRESCRIPTION, IT WILL BE CHEAPER FOR HIM TO BUY PHOLCODINE AND WILL PAY ONLY ONE CHARGE OF ANOTHER POM MEDICINE. SO MY QUSTION IS THAT CAN WE DISPENSE PHOLCODINE LINCTUS FROM THE PACK OF 2L IF THE QUANTITY DOES NOT MATCH THE OTC PACK ? AND CAN WE LABEL IT ACCORDING TO THE PRESCRIPTION (DOSAGE), AND ON THE PRISCRIPTION CAN WE WRITE ND FOR THAT PERTICULAR ITEM? SORRY TO BOTHER YU BUT I WILL BE THANKFUL TO YOU FOR THIS KIND REPLY.

1. Glucosamine Tabs 500mg are not a Part VIII product and you will not, therefore, find any information relating to reimbursement for their supply in the Drug Tariff. However, there are 30 and 90 packs of glucosamine tabs 500mg supplied by BR Pharm as part of their 'Valupak' range, reimbursement will be as follows: 30 pack = 84p 90 pack = 227p (these prices are correct as at 06/01/2005) 2. Sulphur Powder is categorised as being appropriate for general sale and can, therefore, be sold if requested. 3. We cannot provide labelling advice in relation to not dispensed products, however, we would ask that the prescription form is endorsed 'Not Dispensed' alongside the relevant order.
