Dear Sirs, Further to my conversations with your colleagues in ICT, I am writing to request some information with regard to the current ICT budget for the PPA. I am conducting research on behalf of my client into IT and telephony in the public sector and am specifically concentrating on how organisations are managing their ICT budgets. This in order to understand the trends in government ICT expenditure and to gauge the priorities in formulating IT strategies following the Gershon Review and, in this specific instance, in light of the planned incorporation of the PPA into the NHS Business Services Authority. I would be grateful if you could provide me with details of the current budgeting situation within the PPA and which areas of ICT are seen as 'priority' areas.
