Dear Sir/Madam, I am an ?????? in the department of general practice, King?s College London. I am hoping to conduct a project linking practice level QOF data from the QPID database with practice level prescribing data which I would like to obtain from the PPA. The project is looking at the relationship between practice level statin prescribing and practice level QOF scores for the quality indicators that cover statins. The prescribing data that I would need for this project are: Prescribing data for each practice in England, 2004/5: Total volume (ADQ per STAR-PU) of statins Total volume (ADQ per STAR-PU) of ezetimibe Total cost of statins and ezetimibe (NIC per STAR-PU) Practice identifiers that would enable the above prescribing data to be linked with QOF data I have attached a copy of the project protocol if that would help. I would like to apply for this information under the Freedom of Information Act.
