To allow printing from within ePACT.net:
-
On the View menu in the browser, click ‘Internet Options’.

In the ‘Zone’ list box, select ‘Trusted sites zone’. (Note: You may need to scroll down the list to find this.) Show me!

Once you have selected ‘Trusted sites zone’, add the PPA site by clicking on the ‘Add sites’ button on the right of the window. Show me!

Untick the box in the bottom of the window entitled ‘Require server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone’. Show me!

In the top box entitled ‘Add this website to the zone ‘, type in the full website address used to access the PPA website, including the prefix of ‘http://’. For example, ‘http://www.epact.ppa.nhs.uk’. (Note: You will need to type in the address that you use to access the website if it is different to this example.) Show me!

Click on the add button, and the web site address will be added to the list of trusted sites.

If a message appears saying the only ‘https’ sites can be added, you haven’t unticked the box in the bottom of the window. Untick the box in the bottom of the window entitled ‘Require server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone’. Show me!

Now click on the ‘Ok’ button in the bottom of the window.Show me!

Still selecting ‘Trusted sites zone’, set the Security level to Custom by clicking the ‘Custom’ button near the bottom of the window. Show me!

Now click the ‘Settings’ button, it is just to the right of the Custom radio button you just selected. Show me!

The ‘Security Settings’ window now appears. In the top half of this window there is a list of items. Scroll down this list until you find the title ‘Java’. Just below this is the title ‘Java Permissions’. Click on the ‘Custom’ button just below the ‘Java permissions’ title. Show me!

Once you have selected the ‘Custom’ button as described in the last point, a new button labeled ‘Java Custom Settings’ appears in the bottom left hand corner of the ‘Security Settings’ window.

A new window called ‘Trusted sites zone’ appears. Click the ‘Edit Permissions’ tab on the ‘Trusted sites zone’ window. Show me!

Select the ‘Enable’ radio button just below the title ‘Run Unsigned Content’ title. Show me!

In the same window scroll down further to the title ‘Printing’.(Note: There are two titles in this window called ‘Printing’ you need to find the second one of the two. This is near the bottom of the scrolling window). Select the ‘Enable’ radio button just blow this title. Show me!

Click the ‘OK’ button on the ‘Trusted sites zone’ window. Show me!

Click the ‘OK’ button on the ‘Security Settings’ window. Show me!

Click on ‘Apply’ on the ‘Internet Options’ window. Show me!
Click on ‘OK’ on the ‘Internet Options’ window.Show me!
You should now be able to print from the ePACT.net system.
