Prescription Pricing Authority - Data Protection and Freedom of Information
This message is to advise NHS colleagues, private prescribers, private dispensers and members of the public as Data Subjects that the Prescription Pricing Authority ceases to exist from midnight on the 31st March 2006 and from the 1st April 2006 will become a division of a new organisation, the NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA). However, the data will still continue to be held on the existing systems in the same location.
The NHSBSA will become the new Data Controller from 1st April and any subject access requests under the Data Protection Act, questions about Data Protection, or requests for information under the Freedom of Information Act should be directed to the Corporate Secretary of the NHS Business Services Authority, Bridge House, 152 Pilgrim Street, Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, NE1 6SN.
