PPA launches first independent conference 'Towards A Modern National Prescriptions Service'

Conference Overview

Moving towards a modern national prescriptions service is high on the agenda within the NHS IT strategy and is increasingly being realised through the development of information tools such as the Primary Care Drug Dictionary (PCDD).

Focusing on how information products and services such as the PCDD will form the basis of richer and more responsive prescribing systems, topics for discussion at the conference will include new prescribing information systems and the potential of the NHS IT strategy, integrating prescribing information systems and the potential of prescribing data as a management tool in primary care.

This conference will seek to deliver a better understanding of the issues surrounding the move towards a 21st century national prescribing service, whilst providing a practical networking opportunity for delegates.

A choice of seminars will offer an on-going opportunity for professional exchanges, complementing the main conference programme.
