Desloratadine 2.5mg/5ml Oral Solution

Dispensing contractors are asked to note that the special container status for desloratadine 2.5mg/5ml oral solution will be deleted from Part VIII of the Drug Tariff in October 2006. The special container status will also cease to apply to the proprietary product, Neoclarityn. For October 2006 dispensed prescriptions onwards, payment will be calculated on the basis that the exact quantity ordered by the prescriber has been supplied as set out in Drug Tariff Part II, Clause 10A.
