A one-day training course designed for Community unit staff wishing to use ePACT.net to analyse nurse prescribing.

Objectives

On completion of training you should be able to:

• Select and apply data.
• Create tags
• Produce basic reports and graphs.
• Perform routine prescribing tasks: trend information, analysis of prescribing by nurse prescriber, identifying high cost prescribing areas.

• Explanation of prescribing terminology.
• Basic navigation - selecting and applying data.
• Tagging.
• Report Expert - how to use the default templates and how to create custom reports.
• Graphing - use the default templates and how to create custom graphs
• How to print and save graphs and reports

A maximum of eight delegates can be accommodated per course, with each delegate receiving full hands-on training. Delegates will be using their own prescribing data for the majority of the course, enabling them to create and save custom tags, graphs and reports on their own system.

Delegates should ensure that they have a valid user ID and password for the system.

Previous experience with the ePACT.net system is not necessary but delegates should have a basic working knowledge of Windows applications.

This is a full one-day training course starting at 9:30am and finishing at approximately 4.30pm. Delegates are expected to attend all sessions and should organise travel arrangements and work commitments accordingly.
