The SchlumbergerSema Consortium (Flexiscript)

The SchlumbergerSema consortium (Flexiscript) comprised:

  • SchlumbergerSema
  • Boots the Chemist
  • National Cooperative Chemists
  • UniChem
  • Cable & Wireless
  • Microsoft

The SchlumbergerSema (Flexiscript) model used a relay approach with prescriptions being sent from the GP to a central server for both repeat and acute prescribing. The pharmacist then downloaded the prescription when the patient arrived at the pharmacy. The Sema pilot was suspended with effect from mid April. The pilot was known as Flexiscript and involved GPs and Pharmacies in the Peterborough area.
