Budgets can be amended during the processing of the financial years prescriptions. In order to amend the prescribing budget the following information must be supplied:

• PPA Practice code
  
• Original budget amount
  
• Amended budget amount
  
• Date of change.

When changing budgets mid-year due to changes in partnerships other factors to consider include:

• Patient list sizes
  
• Expenditure to date.
