Prescriber Dispenser 1 (PD1) Report

A report for analysts that provides a web based summary of Drug Tariff payments authorised to English dispensing contractors.

It shows statistical fee based data relating to all NHS prescriptions dispensed or personally administered in England which were submitted to the PPD in a particular month. The PD1 report is updated by the end of the first week in each month with the latest available month's information. The report covers data for both a rolling calendar and financial year.

The data available includes:

• number and value of fees
• number of prescription forms
• net ingredient cost
• prescription charges
• a summary of PPD authorised dispensing payments.

This National level information is broken down by the type of dispensing contractor, listed below, as payment details for each differ:

• National Pharmacy Contractors
• Local Pharmaceutical Service (LPS) Pharmacy Contractors
• Appliance Contractors
• Dispensing Doctors
• Personal Administration.

The PD1 report is only available electronically and can be accessed by all interested parties from the PPD websites, www.ppa.nhs.uk and www.ppa.org.uk.
