Q. Why do my PACTLINE actual cost totals, at chapter level, not match the same
chapter's actual cost for ePACT.net?

A.PACTLINE is a section level request. Actual cost is calculated based on the NIC for the
sections and then summed to chapter level. ePACT.net will calculate the actual cost from
the chapter level NIC. Therefore there may be some rounding differences between the two
systems.

Q. Why do EPACT and ePACT.net show different numbers of items in BNF chapters over
time?

A. This is due to the changes in the BNF over time. EPACT will show drugs in the BNF
chapters they were prescribed. ePACT.net shows the drugs in the BNF chapters they are
in for the current BNF. Therefore, sometimes drugs will have moved chapters, in ePACT.net this is reflected historically and EPACT it is not.
