Centre Pages		For England and Isle of Man automatic issues of the PACT Standard Report contain an additional four pages printed on colour paper to distinguish them from the main report. These pages consist of a three page article discussing national guidance, recent clinical trials and prescribing trends for a specific area of prescribing, and a fourth page of related practice prescribing data. The three page articles are also available on the PPA website at www.ppa.nhs.uk or www.ppa.org.uk. Relates to England and Isle of Man.		PACT Standard	June-04

Changing Practice		If you are a prescribing only GP and you change practice mid-month your prescriptions will be accredited to your old practice until the end of the month in which the PPA was notified of the move by your PCT. From the start of the following dispensing month prescriptions are accredited to your new practice. Note: if the PPA receive late notification of changes from your PCT, it may affect your prescribing reports. If you move mid-month to a dispensing practice, prescriptions written after the changeover date will be normally accredited to your new practice. However, if the PPA receives late notification, the change will be effected after the changeover date. If you move mid-quarter you will receive two PACT Standard Reports for the quarter, one for each practice. Your figures on each report will relate to prescriptions accredited to you within the practice. PCT and National equivalent figures will be for the full quarter. You may request two PACT Catalogues, one for each practice, using two separate request forms. Concise Catalogue		This is a format of the PACT Catalogue and can be requested for grouping from BNF chapter down to individual preparation. It can be requested separately or combined with the summary of prescribing. It provides a breakdown of prescribing by the subject for the requested areas and enables users to monitor prescribing at preparation level. The following details are provided for each preparation prescribed: - abbreviated preparation description - number of prescribed items - total quantity prescribed - total net ingredient cost.
