This prescribing cost information can be found on the PAR. It is presented graphically to allow trends to be shown. The graphs show cost trends in a practices prescribing for each of the current national or Jersey top six BNF therapeutic groups and therefore reflect seasonal variations and any changes in prescribing habits over the past two years.
The following details are provided for each of the last eight quarters:
- total net ingredient cost for a practice
- total net ingredient cost for a PCT or Isle of Man equivalent practice.

This is a section of the PAR which contains a breakdown of the prescribing that was ascribed to a prescriber or practice.
The following details are provided for England and Isle of Man:
- number of items prescribed by a prescriber or a practice;
- the total net ingredient cost, rounded to nearest £.
The total net ingredient and number of items prescribed are provided, where applicable, for the following prescribers in England:
- trainee/GP Registrar(s)
- NPF and NPEF/SP nurse prescriber(s).
- additional and independent / supplementary prescriber(s).

| Twenty Leading Cost Drugs in a Practice |

ThiThis section gives details of a practice's twenty leading cost drugs. Drugs are reported under the name used when prescribed. Therefore if both equivalent generic and branded drugs are prescribed they will be reported separately.
The following details are provided for each of the twenty drugs:
- total net ingredient cost
- percentage of the total practice costs attributable to the drug
- percentage change from the same quarter in the previous year
- number of prescribed items.
Proprietary drugs, for which a generic equivalent is available, or a generic entry exists in the Drug Tariff, are highlighted with a 'G' beside the drug name.
